Access Control

Plus Edit is ideal for any sized organisation from one person sole traders, through to large corporations.  If your organisation has a number of employees who will update the website then you can give each of them different access to updating the website.
For example
  • Your HR staff could have access to the vacancies section of the site so that they can add new job vacancies to the site.
  • The managing director (or their PA!) can have access to an area of the site such as a monthly newsletter to customers.
 
KEYS - Secure access tup updating web pagesEvery Plus Edit site has a super user account which will control access to the different areas of the site. With this account, additional employees can be given usernames and assigned the different access levels:
  • Access to updating web pages
  • Access to statistics
  • Access to administering Global Office Users

Within the web pages you can also further delegate responsibility by only allowing certain web pages to be updated by the Global Office user.

There are three categories of access for each web page folder :

Author
  • Edit / add web articles but not publish them without approval by an editor or manager
Editor
  • As Author but can approve and publish pages straight to the web site
  • Edit the main folder page
  • Approve pages created by authors
Manager
  • As Editor but can also edit the folder settings
  • Create sub folders
  • Manage folder settings
If your organisation is small and you don't require multiple administrators then you will be able to just use the 1 super user account which gives access to all areas of Global Office.  This is available on the Plus Edit Lite package at just £25pm!
